Korfball in London

The first organised game of Korfball to be played in England was in 1946 in Mitcham, South London, and this was swiftly followed by the setting up of Croydon, Mitcham and Wandsworth Korfball Clubs (the first two of whom are still active today). The LDKA was subsequently founded and the first leagues run in 1948. The first and second teams of several London clubs now play in the BKA National League; both this and the main LDKA (indoor) league run from the end of October through to March.

Korfball is a great sport for children and teenagers to play, and the LDKA also runs junior leagues in several age groups.
